This is a Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion. The serial number, according to the Boss serial number decoder, indicates it was made in April 1990. Accordingly, this is one of the earliest models from the move to Taiwan. The MIJ DS-2’s and early MIT DS-2’s are known to have a slightly heavier sound than the ones which came after, due to the choice of diodes. These early MIT models are pretty rare. There are some slight scuffs from normal use, so this is listed as Very Good. Works perfectly, sounds great. If you’re a Frusciante fan, the mid-heavy Turbo mode will do that screaming lead sound really well. If you’re a Cobain fan, switch over to Mode I and put the Tone around 10:00, and you should be pretty good to go.Shipping to conus only.
