Interesting drive pedal from MXR, I personally think it sounds more like an overdrive than a “distortion“, also a lot warmer sounding and more compressed than you would imagine with the distortion name and red paint, but a cool unique voice nonetheless. I’ve had this pedal for a lot of years and it has the scars to prove it, most notably a large scratch on the lower left side, but functions perfectly. Additionally the knobs feel gritty when you turn them, but don’t produce any audible scratchy sounds and work as they‘re supposed to.
