The version I have is one of the oldest . Definitely the "boutique era" of the Keeley brand . The small switch has 3 positions . The most important piece in this model is this rarely mounted , black Mullard OC44 transistor that was also essential for the famous Dallas Rangemaster effect . When today Keeley makes pedals with these transistors he releases max 25 pieces to the market. In my experience the black transistor sounds dirtier than the yellow one (I compared two Javas side by side). In my experience it better works on 9,6V DC adapter (like the adapter that Electo Harmonix add to their effects) . With standard 9V it is often a bit noisy . Keeley in his manual also recommends 9,6V. For the European buyers I can add something compatible with 230V outlets . Anyway , mine looks ok . I'm rather certain that works well for the design it is (though the pots can crackle sometimes) .
