Some components are of a different value to improve overall tone response and to help eliminate noise. -We use high quality/low noise NE5532 op amps (chips) as replacements for the three stock op amps (the older GE-7's actually have four),The result is a warmer, fuller pedal with more clarity and less noise. And of course we put in a nice bright blue LED…the “water clear” LED is clear when the pedal is off, and a nice bright blue when on. This is great for a dimly lit stage, but also a bright LED is a must if you play outside gigs....but not too bright
