The Maxon AD80 is a beautiful color with simple design that feels strong and sturdy. The pedal is buffered and has one of the absolute best preamps I've ever experienced housed in a delay pedal. It's not so much the preamp in terms of how it makes the dry guitar sound, but what I mean is how it allows you to impart a bit of character on the repeats based on how hard you pick. The quality of the repeat is hugely dependent on your attack with the pedal in a way that I think other delays such as a carbon copy (sounds great still) can be heavier handed on the compander circuit, resulting in consistent but somewhat 'flatter' repeats. The AD80 would be dream with some modulation, but it makes up for that with the slightly crunchy character you can get from the echo tone. I love the controls spacing/sizing and hate to see it go, but my analog delays of choice are the malekko ekko 616 pedals and I am saving up for a car so I gotta sell off a few gems. Thanks for looking and enjoy-
