Here's a very early US-made Big Muff reissue (year 2000), of the very first ones with the "vintage-correct looking" Dakaware knobs. Also known as the V9. You can recognize these earliest ones by the unpainted "silver circle" around the on/off switch and the position of the lamp ("on the line"), which was later moved further up.This one has the Frantone-re-designed 3003-A circuit. It still has the coveted four 2N5088 transistors. This circuit was only used until ~2007, and is the first to add true bypass (many prefer this), did some other changes which sound great. --> now THIS specific specimen does NOT yet have a true bypass switch, which would make it seem as a "transition" one between the two models! It is like the original 70s Muffs, NOT true bypass. (sorry if this all sounds a bit confusing...)This one is known to be the best circuit of the reissues - it roars and squeals just like you want it, exaclty like the early 70s "Ram's Head" ones. Do some research and you'll know what I'm talking about... but since you're here already, I guess you're in the know! ;) Works 100% flawless, ready to rock right away. All original and in used but quite shape for its 25 years! We all know how easily these old Muffs can get scratched up and rusty! All fout rubber feet are there, also the battery door (and its screw) - they often go missing, just in case. Please ask if you need to see or know anything more. Oh and make sure to check out my store for other cool and rare items for sale.
