Effect unit and synth maker Vongon‘s Ultrasheer is a stereo reverb and vibrato pedal inspired by late-1970s digital studio units. Memorably housed in a single block of dark walnut, the Ultrasheer features an algorithm based on a 1978 classic: Lexicon’s 224 plate reverb, which is here downsampled to 16 bits.In addition, a transparent digital pitch-shifting vibrato comes outfitted with 'cycle' and 'random' modulation waveforms, achieving a wide spectrum of simulated sonic motion sequences—dizzy-making Leslie cabinets on the one side and “sunbaked cassette tapes” on the other.The pedal offers dynamic stereo routing, automatically adjusting for various input and output configurations.The unit for sale is in impeccable condition—no functional or cosmetic issues to mention.
