Early Taiwan DS1 produced after the circuit changed to the dual opamp and this is the BA728N version. I have a/b it against the preamp original, and it gets the closest to the OG DS1 thing, but also has a foot in the thicker Rat territory too and it's a little louder too, but I'm probably cork sniffing here, there's very little difference. This iteration was the last of them that sounded any good and if you never have, you definitely should. This is completely mod friendly too.
