Ibanez CF7 Chorus/Flanger, in great cosmetic shape and working like it should. While not exactly the quietest or most “analog sounding“ modulation pedal, these can make some truly otherworldly sounds thanks to the delay time control and ”wack’d” setting on the ”krazy“ switch.I bought this semi-functioning and repaired it. It technically worked, but the modulation speed was all over the place, suggesting issues in the LFO. In my experience in a pedal of this age that is typically due to dried out electrolytic caps in the LFO. I replaced the primary LFO caps on the main board (C17, C18), and replaced the power filtering caps from the digital delay chip to digital ground for good measure (C7, C8). Since the “krazy” switch affects the modulation speed, caps C16, C52, and C19 on the switch’s daughterboard also needed replacing. C16 and C52 were replaced with MLCCs and C19 with a film cap, so those caps should never need replacing again. This thing is ready to ring-mod your ears out for the next few decades.
