The Clyde Standard Wah is the culmination of our commitment to wah! The Clyde Standard is based on the Vox Clyde McCoy signature model from the 1960s, which featured the Halo inductor. Clyde McCoy was a 1960s trumpet player known for his wah-wah sound using the trumpet mute technique. For guitarists, he is well known as the person who inspired the development of the Vox "Clyde McCoy" wah-wah. Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton also used the Vox "Clyde McCoy" wah pedal, and according to photo documentation taken during the recording of "Electric Lady Land," there were already several models available at the time. According to the photo documentation taken during the recording of "Electric Lady Land," Jimi Hendrix used a signature model with Clyde McCoy's name printed in script logo on the bottom of the pedal, among several models that already existed.
