The EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz, originally conceptualized by Josh Scott of JHS Pedals and graphic designer Daniel Danger, is a modern tribute to Electro-Harmonix’s golden era of the 1970s. This nano-sized pedal captures all the tones and vintage vibes of the original design introduced on the JHS Show in 2022. Featuring a unique analog octave-up circuit, the Lizard Queen delivers a fresh take on EHX’s legendary fuzz sound — ranging from thick, crushing rhythms to chimey, octave-rich leads. The vintage-inspired graphics, also designed by Daniel Danger, pay homage to classic EHX aesthetics while giving the pedal a distinct and stylish look.
The control layout is simple yet powerful. The Volume knob sets the overall output level, while the Octave knob blends in the octave-up signal, taking you from subtle texture to full-on analog chaos. The Balance control lets you sweep between smooth, sustaining fuzz tones on the “Shadow” side and biting, aggressive fuzz tones on the “Sun” side, with the effect becoming even more pronounced as the octave is increased. Built with a true bypass design, the Lizard Queen maintains your core tone when disengaged.
