From Modest Mike’s ModsModified Danelectro Daddy O Check out the reviews at sites like The Gear Page, Harmony Central, Telecaster Guitar Forum, Strat-Talk.com, Pedal-of-the-day.com, The Amp Garage, Noisy Music, Ultimate Guitar.com, and even TalkBass.com, and GBase.com. Quality workmanship, great customer service, low prices, and the sound! Nobody beats Modest Mike's Mods! From Danelectro:The Danelectro Daddy O overdrive pedal is designed to take your guitar into high gear. Fondly called a “stack in a box” this Danelectro guitar effects pedal delivers uncompromised tube-amplifier overdrive. Incorporating 3 dedicated tone controls, this overdrive pedal lets you dial-in the exact tone that you crave. Effectively delivering unbelievable hollow mid-range to other sought after tones, this Danelectro guitar effects pedal offers a smooth range of distortion density. With a rugged construction incorporating quality parts, this overdrive pedal is durable. The tonal versatility coupled with the quality construction makes the Danelectro Daddy O a good addition to any rig. This pedal is almost exactly like the Marshall black box Guv’nor, but this one has an input and an output buffer. Our mod was inspired by studying mods by Brian Wampler, the more popular folks who mod this pedal plus there are a few of my own personal tweaks. Modified Daddy OThere are 15 component changes (yep, I counted them). We changed the clipping section from silicon diodes to LEDs for more push. We replaced other components with better quality caps and metal film resistors of different values. We swapped out the op amp for a RC4558P. These changes make the overall tone very warm & tube-like, with a nice sustain even at low volume levels. This pedal is also now more pick responsive. The bass is better, the mids are improved, the highs are no longer peaked out…everything is smoother! We also drilled and installed a symmetrical/asymmetrical clipping switch. Our standard mod alone makes this pedal sound great, but when you flip this switch you are going to be in for still another surprise! The switch gives you a more aggressive asymmetrical boost option. There are modified overdrive pedals out there that are much more expensive, but this one will go head to head with any of them. We had a few requests for a sound clip on this one. This is my Les Paul on the treble pickup, through the pedals, into a clean channel of my B52 turned way down, with the line out into my BR-1200 recorder. Both pedals are on identical settings, all knobs are at 12 o' clock. I just can't emphasize this enough...USE YOUR HEADPHONES! From Eddie: “I had owned one of these previously. I traded it for something different a few months back, and then discovered that I sorta missed it. Then I saw this video and decided to give this one a try. The real test came when I plugged this modified pedal into my amp. Unreal! This one is twice the pedal that my old Daddy O was. It is definitely the best sounding overdrive I have heard. Thanks Mike!"From eBay member ashbizzare: "Amazing OD pedal. The best I own. Thanks so much!"We make your sounds…sound good!”Thanks for looking, and keep rockin!MikeSee all of our pedals and mod services here on Reverb, at our eBay store, our website, and on YouTube!
