From Analogman:The high cut only effects the ECHO sound, the DRY sound is still the same, nice and clear. It is a 3 position switch. The center setting is the original bright echo sound, one position is a medium high cut, and the other position a heavier cut. This makes the effect sound quite analog and you can distinguish the repeats from the original sound. This mod on the DD-6 sounds a little better than the same mod on the DD-5, very smooth. The high cut functions on OUTPUT A onlyTHIS DD-6 HAS HAD THE MODE KNOB AND POT REPLACED. When I received this pedal, the Mode Position switch was not switching. They are custom made pots only for Boss, so there are no possible replacements that have detents/selectors built into the pots. Rather than this pedal collect dust, I installed a pot WITHOUT DETENTS so it flows smoothly like the other three pots and it now works perfectly. If you place it in the right spot on the mode switch, it will switch over just like stock, you just don't feel the "click" in the mode. Probably not great for a live player, but for a bedroom/studio/recording device it would be fantasticCheck out my other listings for more cool vintage, boutique, Boss, Delay, Analogman, DD-3, and other guitar pedals!
