About the Unicorn Account

Description

The Electro-Harmonix Super Switcher Programmable Effects Hub
Pedal, as its name implies, offers a powerful solution for players who are
tired of ‘tap dancing’ around their pedalboard. In effect, it moves all of your
pedals to your pedalboard’s front row while delivering control of them with one
button push. The result is that it puts the player back in control of an unruly
pedalboard. It’s also perfect for any guitarist using the ‘four-cable method’
because it makes it easy to properly route effects that should go in front of
an amp and those that are best in the effects loop. When it comes to live
performance, the Super Switcher can efficiently organize presets into banks
that are easy to recall and match your show’s setlist. If you’re playing to a
click track and want to have the presets recalled via MIDI programmed to a
song, the Super Switcher can handle that, too. It’s also a great way to sync
time-based effects to the same master clock.
Features
Extensive In and Out maximizes flexibility and control. Features mono and
stereo send and return, insert send and return, and mono and stereo out.
Equipped with tuner and tap tempo outs, MIDI In and Out, and more. It features
eight mechanical-relay controlled, true bypass loops and provides 128 presets:
16 banks with 8 presets each. Tap the footswitch to set the BPM. The Super
Switcher can be configured to send or receive MIDI clock and send tap signals
to the output. BPM can be global or per preset. The Tuner footswitch sends the
input signal to the tuner out and cuts off the signal from any loops or output.
Boost footswitch engages a knob adjustable, output gain Boost on both the left
and right channels.
Illuminated Buttons and Footswitches
The illuminated buttons for loops 1-8 both control and display the on or off
status of the corresponding effects loop. Footswitches 1-8 engage and disengage
the corresponding presets 1-8 for the bank that is currently selected. Bank Up
and Bank Down footswitches increment or decrement through the preset banks.
There are 16 banks each with 8 presets. The Preset footswitch toggles the Super
Switcher between its normal Preset Mode and a manual mode called Instant Access
Mode. Two or more presses on the Tap footswitch update the BPM setting for the
Super Switcher. The Tap footswitch also controls the tempo signal that is
output from the Tap jack. When the Tuner footswitch is pressed, the Super
Switcher sends the IN signal directly to the Tuner jack. The Boost footswitch
turns On and Off the stereo output boost. The Ctrl 1 footswitch can be used to
switch amp channels, trigger remote effects, etc. Ctrl 1 can be set normally
open or closed. Ctrl 1 can be set to momentary or latching. Ctrl 1 can be set
as a master bypass button. The Ctrl 2 footswitch can be used to switch amp
channels, trigger remote effects, etc. Ctrl 2 can be set to normally open or
closed. Ctrl 2 can be set to momentary or latching.
