Its like a dumble, but its a pedal, which has never been done before (by JHS), except for that one time they did it just for John Mayer.

About the Unicorn Account

Description

As with all of my gear, this pedal is in excellent condition and has never been used other than at home. As this is being sold in built form it is available at a much lower price than all the unbuilt kits on Reverb. Use it, enjoy it, and, hopefully, watch it go up in value! As I now exclusively play bass, I bought this just to see how JHS had managed to put together such an easy to build kit. Yes, it can be used with my bass setup but that isn't what it was designed for so the subtleties of the Dumble clone are lost in my system and so it needs to go to a new home. It will ship in the original box with all of the original bits and pieces and paperwork - see photos. You could take it apart and then enjoy the process of building the pedal yourself - the only bit you wont get to do is the snapping apart of the PCBs and the wrenches (although I haven't thrown anything away, even the pieces marked "Discard" will be in the box). You can do the gooping yourself as the supplied tube of goop is unopened. Plus I haven't signed it so you get to do that as well. This is v1 of the JHS NOTADÜMBLË and has now been discontinued. This is the version that JHS had modelled the Clean channel on the "wrong" extremely rare Dumble pedal owned and used by John Mayer. The Clean channel on this is modelled on the extremely rare Dumble BBC-1 pedal rather than the very rare Dumble "A Box Later" pedal. As v1 is now sold out and v2 will have it's clean channel modelled on the "A Box Later" variant, this will invariably become a collectors item. From the JHS listing for this pedal kit ():The NOTADÜMBLË is a DIY pedal kit from JHS Pedals that puts a half-million dollars of tone at your feet. With the flip of a slider switch, you can go between two highly sought after sounds that are as magical and rare as it gets. In the Drive setting–slider up–you get the dirty and distorted violin-like sounds you know from guitarists like Santana, Joe Bonamassa, and Eric Johnson. In the Clean position–slider down–you get a powerful preamp buffer pulled directly from John Mayer's rare and never before replicated device, the Dumble BBC-1. With easy to understand instructions – no soldering required – this kit is for anyone who wants a particularly fabled amp-overdrive and the experience of easily building their own pedal. Go ahead - save yourself a few hundred thousand dollars and experience the magic for yourself!
