The three modes are each modelled on a classic Fuzz effect form the golden age of psychedelia: the Maestro FZ-1A Fuzz Tone, the Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face and the Roger Mayer Octavia. In addition to this, Boss have included a boost circuit to really ram the gain up high into extreme overload! It's an enormously fun pedal to unleash at an unsuspecting audience, especially the Octavia setting with the boost all the way up: the overtones coming out of this pedal absolutely scream! It's quite an 'experience'! Switch the mode across to the Maestro mode and you'll find lots there to your 'satisfaction'! The third mode, given a little 'time', will send you to the dark side of the moon and back!
