(Long story, I'll get some actual pictures up soon). Tech 21's Sansamp Fly Rig 5 is a very versatile, great sounding guitar overdrive pedal. It combines a Fender-style clean setting with a Marshal Plexi-style overdrive setting, along with a quite potent boost function. Mixing the two amp settings is possible with this pedal, but not recommended because the gain and overdrive goes off the chart quickly if you don't set the entire pedal to accommodate. Realistically, I should caution you from cranking the boost (just called "hot" on this pedal) and by cranking I mean past about 10 o'oclock on the dial. The hot knob gets really spicy really quickly. There is also an onboard delay with a tap tempo that is quite pleasant. With the built-in amp and cabinet simulation, plugging a guitar in and the out to an interface or PA system allows for a very simple recording platform or live rig. Even having this pedal as a back-up rig for the gigging musician or the small studio is a godsend. Don't miss out on this one, you won't be disappointed once this thing is tuned in.
