The Rattler is JAM Pedals take on the classic ProCo Rat from the early 1980's. Keeping to Rat tradition, the pedal features an asymmetrical clipping circuit, carbon comp resistors and the now scarce LM308 chip. Updates to the circuit make it more responsive to picking and fretting nuances, and less noisy with the distortion turned up than a classic Rat.The three controls are similar to the Rat but are labeled L (Level), T (Tone) and G (Gain) rather than the Rat's Volume, Filter and Distortion. The Tone control works in the standard way where turning clockwise increases the treble as opposed to the Rat's "backwards" low pass Filter. The pedal is handmade and hand-painted. Included are a JAM Pedals drawstring carry bag, four stick-on feet, a Rattler sticker and a JAM Pedals pick. The original box is included which I have added some reinforcing shipping tape to the corners.
