Up for sale, a Maxon AD999 Analog Delay in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. Featuring a whopping eight proprietary Bucket Brigade ICs that are clocked intentionally low to achieve the longest delay time possible, the Japanese-made AD999 delivers a rich, three-dimensional tone that can easily achieve expansive, ethereal Floyd-esque soundscapes via extended repetition.
The all-analog AD999 has a slightly overdriven tonality that sits comfortably behind dirty tones while adding dimension and depth to clean ones, further underscoring this pedal’s vintage-inspired feel and sound. Via the eight MC4107D BBD delay ICs, this modern Maxon delay offers up to 900 milliseconds of delay time, roughly three times that of most analog delays, enabling a much wider variety of echo effects, from tight slapback reverberations to long trailing sustain or overlapping "sound on sound" textures. Simple, user-friendly controls include Delay Time, Repeat, and Delay Level knobs, with a whole suite of internal trim pots for tonal tweaking as desired.
This AD999 is very clean, with just a few tiny marks along the edges of the enclosure.
