Atomic Firebox Amplifi- Firebox version 1. I’m selling my Atomic Firebox. This is the first version of it. It shows a bit of cosmetic wear but works as it should. I do not have the box for it. I bought it used about six months ago when I was looking for a pedal type backup for my Fractal. This little box does a great job of modeling and the stock IR s are pretty good. I’ve used this with a power amp to a guitar cab, also through a DAW for recording, and to a PA system. The modeling with IR s sounds good in all those situations. I’m partial to my Fractal so I can’t really say it’s equal to it, but it gets you in the ball park. If you’ve ever used the Atomic Amplifire red boxes, this is very similar. I’ve always thought Atomic did a good job modeling and this is equal or better to the older 3 and 6 buttion units. It’s in great shape and does what it supposed to do.This unit does not come with a power supply. I didn’t get one with it and I don’t think they come with one when new. I used a one spot for power so 9v does the trick. Honestly don’t know if it can be battery powered or not. If it can be there is no way to access it short of taking the bottom off. I never tried. I’m selling it because I really don’t like units with only two foot Switches. I need a couple more to turn effects off and on. It’s just a personal preference.
