Description

Original '70s Mu-Tron Bi-Phase newly serviced and in perfect working order. Includes custom-built C-100 Opti-Pot replacement foot switch. Bi-Phase units will not work without a foot switch attached. The custom two-button foot switch included here works exactly as the standard Bi-Phase switch, to switch sides Phase A and B on and off. However, unlike the original, the included foot switch also has a 1/4" jack which allows the use of any standard expression pedal for manual control of either the Generator (LFO) 1 speed, or the sweep of Phase A itself. This opens up a whole world of function in this unit that is otherwise only accessible with the ultra-rare (and ultra-expensive, if you can find one) Mu-Tron C-100 Opti-Pot control pedal — from "Auto-wah"-type sounds, to phychedelic phase ramping, to living and breathing, playfully-controlled interactions between Phase A and B, only possible with a foot controller. This foot switch is custom-built, not available commercially, and as far as I can find, the only device in existence that allows the use of a standard expression pedal with the Bi-Phase. Bi-Phase unit is missing a few screws and shows some general wear throughout, but otherwise in great condition, with no significant notable damage. Bi-Phase unit professionally serviced with jacks, pots, and switches cleaned, tightened, and lubed as needed, and common points of failure inspected, reflowed where necessary or beneficial, and cleared. Unit will be professionally packed for quick, fully-insured shipping with same or next business day dispatch.
