The Sweet Honey Overdrive (SHOD) designed by BJF is a low-gain overdrive pedal that responds sensitively to your finger touch.
It is designed to drive a distorted amp further, or even get a light overdrive for dynamics control with a clean sound.
The distortion level can be controlled by the picking attack and pickup volume. Pick harder for overdrive or softer for clean tone. The unique FACUS control allows you to adjust distortion feel, dynamics, and overall EQ. Turn this control fully counterclockwise for a mellow tone with little distortion that matches jazz and blues, or fully clockwise for a bright distortion with lightly boosted highs.
