The VG88 is fully capable of replicating those very tones, in addition to boasting a much more refined amp modeling algorithm capable of producing tones that are near indistinguishable from famous amps such as the JC-120, Fender Reverb Deluxe and many more.Unit is in perfect working condition. It belonged to my uncle, was used briefly as a studio effects unit for synths before being replaced with a VG-99. Sat in its original packaging ever since, save for a maintenance check in 2021 to renew the battery in case it was starting to corrode (it was not, but thank god for neuroticism!). Minimal overall use to test its functions and experiment with tone capabilities. Nothing outside of noodling at home before being placed back in its sarcophagus. The V.2 software upgrade, released in 2001, added 18 additional COSM models, including Nylon, Sitar, Fretless Guitar & Wave Synth models, as well as a slew of other improvements, such as improved polyphonic pitch-shifting and HRM modeling algorithms.
