Up for sale, a 1983 Boss DS-1 Distortion in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A true icon in the world of guitar effects, the DS-1 Distortion was introduced in 1978, defining a bold new sound and delivering hard-edged attack and smooth sustain that’s since been a staple of players for generations. This early Japanese-made iteration has a notably thicker, smoother, and more dynamic tone than later versions.
There are some minor marks on the edges of the enclosure, with clean black silkscreen graphics and the original trio of knobs. While the white serialization sticker is present the battery compartment (dating to February, 1983), the black foil label is missing from the back.
