Up for sale, a 1978 Boss GE-6 Graphic Equalizer pedal in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box and user manual. Historically significant for being Boss’ first compact EQ pedal, this is the predecessor to the much better-known GE-7. This example dates to the first year of GE-6 production, with introductory cosmetic features including the famed silver screw for the battery compartment, "long dash" graphics, black foil label, and early serial number stamped above the stomp switch in the battery compartment. A simple and straightforward effect, the GE-6 offers six bands of EQ ranging from 100Hz to 3.2kHz, with boost/cut of +/- 15dB per band.
There is sparingly little wear on the enclosure, with bold silkscreen graphics, and the white end caps on the EQ sliders are all present. The “Made in Japan” black foil label is near mint on the back, and the serial number stamp is intact inside the battery compartment, dating to April, 1978. The original silver screw is present.
The original box is included, along with the Japanese owner’s manual and small stand-up advert.
