Lovepedal Original 2005 Super Six Handwired Boost Overdrive Preamp - Gooped Internals - Super Reverb on SixThis is a handwired Lovepedal Super Six from the original run in 2005. The Super Six is a FET-based preamp that gives you the sound and feel of a blackface Fender Super Reverb amp with the volume on 6, where it's just starting to compress and break up a little. The reason you need the Super Six is that it gets you that sound without blowing the windows out of your house. It's great as a low-gain OD, a clean boost, or as a tone enhancer. As with most Lovepedal offerings, there is a lot of output volume available; and the pedal is incredibly responsive to your picking dynamics, and the volume knobs on your guitar.Here's a rundown of the controls: INTENSE: This is the input gain of the Super Six. The Super Six is fairly low-gain and is highly dynamic. But as your turn this knob clockwise, you get some soft compression. Turn it up higher, and the pedal will begin breaking up the same way that those legendary blackface amps do when you start punishing the input.TONE: This is an EQ knob. As you turn it clockwise, the tone gets brighter. As you turn it counter-clockwise, the tone gets warmer. VOLUME: This is the output level of the Super Six. Once the other knobs are set where you like, you can set this to unity gain with your dry signal. Or you can crank the VOLUME and drive your tube amp into thick natural overdrive.This Super Six is in very good cosmetic condition (see the pics). There's some wear on the corners and some of the labelling has worn off. However, the electronics work perfectly. The pots, jacks and stomp switch are all clean and quiet. You can power this pedal with a 9-volt battery, a Boss PSA-style ac/dc adapter, or your standard 9-volt pedalboard power supply.
