Inspired by the legendary Uni-Vibe pedal, this stompbox excels at dishing out spacey, cinematic tones. Don't be fooled, though; it's not another Uni-Vibe clone. Thanks to its cutting-edge circuitry, this pedal boasts a secondary modulation mode along with two unique flavors of overdrive, allowing players to crank up the heat with a wealth of amazing sounds.The Riptide has four primary presets; two modulation settings and two overdrives. For modulation, you can select between a classic '60s Shin-ei Uni-Vibe or a deeper vibrato with a chewy, phaser-like sound. For overdrive, you can choose either a dynamic, crunchy distortion or a smooth, saturated drive with a natural boost.Convenience is at the core of the Riptide's design, hence its dual footswitch setup.
