TC Electronic’s T2 Reverb pedal is a rare and discontinued ambient masterpiece. Representing an evolution from its predecessor, the Trinity Reverb, it is as dark and foreboding in design and colour as some of the reverbs it offers. The T2 Reverb can run in mono or stereo and the signal is true bypass / analogue dry-though. It features eleven modes in total. There are ten crafted reverb algorithms (designed in conjunction with the forever legendary team from ProGuitar Shop), of which eight are distinct reverb options, labelled "I" to “VIII”, as well as two Ethereal options, “E1” and “E2”. The eleventh "TP" position opens the portal to the world of TonePrint™. In operation it is easy to tweak, with Decay, Tone and Mix controls, and a miniature toggle switch controlling pre-delay. There are no complex menus to navigate, just dive in and lose yourself in a wash of modulated reverbs and spacey sounds. There are no clunky noises when engaging the pedal either – the smooth, silent switching is effortless. The T2 Reverb requires 9V DC centre-negative polarity at just 100mA for power, or you can open the large single slot screw on the back panel and use with a 9V battery. Either way, it is a very pedalboard-friendly unit. This is no run-of-the-mill, Room/Plate/Hall style reverb pedal. If you want an affordable and reliable do-it-all reverb pedal, and love the TC Electronics brand, you cannot go past the Hall of Fame (v2). The T2 Reverb however, it is a completely different beast. If you are an innovator, a soundscape artist or ambient drone fanatic, this will absolutely appeal to you – guitarists or synth/keys players alike. If you're a TC Electronic TonePrint pedal series collector, this will catch your eye... there aren’t many of these in circulation after all. Don’t be put off by the weird and wacky things this pedal is capable of – embrace them instead. You can always beam in something more ‘vanilla’ via the TonePrint function (useful for a standalone spring reverb option for instance), but that would be missing the point of this extraordinary pedal. The item for sale is exactly as pictured, in immaculate condition, and will be sold with its original box, USB cable and other box candy.
