I purchased this unit new. It has never been out of my house. It is in perfect condition. After the sale, I will send you a license transfer (at my expense) to allow you to register it in the IK Product Manager. It does not require any software to function. In fact, there is no computer connection at all with this unit. I used this mostly as a buffer to make sure all downstream effects or the digital interface saw a perfectly consistent signal.
