Up for sale, a 1980 Boss CE-2 Chorus "Silver Screw" effects pedal in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order. The CE-2 was the first compact chorus pedal available from Boss, with a circuit based around the MN3007 BBD chip. This is the first edition of the CE-2, with the silver screw on the battery compartment, along with the early inked serial number. The controls are straightforward and responsive, with a Rate knob and Depth knob to dial in the classic, lush all-analog effect.
The original black silkscreen graphics are in great shape, and there is sparingly little wear on the enclosure edges. The original knob pair is intact, and the black “Made in Japan” foil label is present on the back. The inked serial number sticker is inside the battery compartment, dating the pedal to September, 1980.
