You can put a compressor right at the beginning of your signal chain to tighten things up. If you're looking for a low-noise optical compressor, it's a good choice for the Yellow Comp .Effective EQ Sweep - Allows you to dial in your tone how you'd like,helping you dial in the tone and you don't have to turn the volume knob up much to match your unprocessed volume.If you like that it has an EQ control, you can add or take away some hi/low frequencies right up front. If you want vintage squish, turn the comp all the way up and run the EQ a bit bright without the noise. Or dial the comp and EQ back a bit and get more of studio compressor-type sound.The True Bypass Design - To minimize the tone loss, they are right up there with noise suppressors and tuner pedals. When its on, it seems like everything falls into line, and there is a nice fullness to the tone. The pedal doesn't add too much hissing noise to the amp, and it seems to be pretty transparent.
