Vintage Boss DM-1 Delay Machine, considered by many to be the holy grail of analog delays. Utilizes the RETICON R5101 CCD (Charge Coupled Device) delay chip for ~600ms of the warmest, fattest, most musical echo around. The repeats gently fade away and do not disintegrate into non-distinct distorted noise like many other analog delays. No, the new DM-101 does not even get close.Great for slapback to longer atmospheric delays. Does the runaway oscillation thing too.This pedal has been dated to 1979 from codes on ICs and electrolytic capacitors.
