Wampler Faux Tape Echo. Includes original box, rubber feet and manual. Works and sounds great! One of Wampler’s greatest pedals. Used by Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke for years, they can be seen on his board in all of his rig rundown videos. Some swirling here and there in the clear coat from handling over the years (tried to capture in photos) and the straight line on the “movement“ knob faded away at some point, so the original owner put a sharpie dot on the knob to see the knobs position. This is a PT2399 chip based delay so when the Level and Echo knobs are past noon on the dial you may encounter some occasional what some call ”white noise” or what I refer to as a slight distortion mainly in the lows. I only heard it on certain phrases I played and that was on more extreme settings and in a mix I don’t think you would really notice. That is just a quirk of the PT2399 delay chip when it’s pushed. My Keeley Mag Echo acted similar and used the same chip. It’s common knowledge on forums if you search. I AB’d this against my Strymon El Capistan and actually thought this sounded warmer. This really is a beautiful sounding delay. I just have too much money tied up in the El Capistan so I’m going to keep it and have to sell this to put towards a new amp. I think this is the best delay you can get at this price and I wouldn’t hesitate to grab another in the future. Ships USPS, usually the following business day of payment. Shipping includes tracking and full insurance. Ships to CONUS only, please. Thanks for looking!
