Not to get political, but we think the MXR Blue Box is pretty damn cool. With pots dated 1973 and housed in an aluminum "Bud Box" enclosure, this blue beauty is one of the very first of its kind--hand wired and assembled in a Rochester New York basement, likely sold to a music shop from the trunk of a car.Google "MXR Blue Box" and your search results will likely be littered with words like "chaotic", "glitchy", and "unpredictable". We totally agree and that is what's so fun about this mysterious little fella. We don't know who the target market is but it sure is fun a fun circuit to play with. This unit is in excellent condition for its age, sounds perfect, and has been meticulously cleaned and tested to ensure that it’ll sound great for another 50 years! Pots are dated the 24th week of 1975. Follow our Reverb shop for more rare vintage MXR pedals!
