JHS PEDALS OVERDRIVE PREAMP is now available used! The JHS Overdrive Preamp is a faithful reproduction of the extremely hard-to-find V1, DOD's most beloved pedal. The controls are simple: the Level control adjusts the output of the entire circuit and can cut or boost the signal. The LEVEL control on this version has been modified (corrected) from the original #75 wiring to provide more volume. the Gain control adjusts the amount of gain in the overdrive circuit. when the Gain is turned up. the Gain control is used to adjust the amount of gain in the overdrive circuit, Pushing the input to the op-amps in the overdrive section creates more clipping by making it hard clipping. The JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp also adds a slider switch that was not present on the original DOD 250. While researching the #75 "Big Box" pedal, Josh acquired a second (non-serial), first-generation Big Box unit with a completely different clipping arrangement. By switching this switch, you can try two variations: #75 with germanium clipping diodes and Non Serial with silicon diodes.
