The MXR Booster mini combines the Echoplex preamp with a clean boost.You can adjust the level of the Echoplex preamp on the input via the mini-knob inside the pedal. It brings up some mids, adds a bit of compression and goes into slight overdrive when set higher. It's a set and forget control ideal to cut through the mix, fatten up single notes, and has a very pleasant feel under the fingers.The volume knob on the top control the 20db clean boost on the output. It doesn't change the tone just adds loads of volume if needed. The tone knob is a high-cut. Inactive when all the way up, it cuts the high frequencies as you bring it down.Can be used as a push pedal before your drives for more gain, or as a post boost for more volume for lead tones.It's in perfect condition, only used in my home-studio on my recording pedalboard.
