SKU 20241:The legendary Boss OD-1 Overdrive pedal. Made in 1979 Japan. The OD-1 was the first ever overdrive pedal and the one that introduced to the world the now legendary BOSS compact design.This is the model with the original RC3403ADB Quad Op-Amp 14 Pin IC Chip which were made in the USA. These models are highly collectable and highly sought after. Boss later swapped them for Japanese made chips. Not just collectable, but the RC3403ADB chip just hands down sounds better than any of the later models. This is the way an OD/Dist is supposed to work. Dial it back and you get a nice OD. Crank it up and you get a great distortion. It also doesn't compress the highs like tube screamers do, which sucks out some of your high end. Retains the presence of your tone. Highly recommended & much better than the 8 pin & later versions.This unit is in good condition for it's age, a few cosmetic marks but nothing to worry about. Fully functioning and tested. Momentary LED- early Boss pedals had a momentary LED which means it only lights up when you are using the switch)
