JHS Pedals Morning Glory V4Purchased new, used at home, no issues, works wellThe Morning Glory V4 is one of the most transparent, musical drives on the market, giving you more of your own amp’s character while covering your tone in a coat of gloss. Low to medium gain is the name of the game, and the Morning Glory excels at either end. Players who prize articulate overdrive pedals will find that the Morning Glory doesn’t subtract from an amp’s touch sensitivity, and instead retains it, no matter what amp you’re using. The touch sensitivity is also retained across all pickup types so it will play nice with Teles and Les Pauls alike. Several features have been added to the revamped Version 4 circuit while retaining the awesome tone of the original. Turning the Drive knob up also introduces extra treble content, so JHS installed a small Hi-Cut switch on the side of the pedal for those of you playing trebly pickups or inherently bright amps. The Gain toggle activates a boost mode, increasing the grit and low end content without making the tone flubby, and you’ll notice a more dramatic increase in higher Drive knob settings. A handy remote jack on the side allows you to plug in an external footswitch, which overrides the toggle and turns the Morning Glory into a two-channel gain machine. Each JHS pedal is hand-made by real humans in the USA.
