About the Unicorn Account

Description

Ross Flanger Made in Kansas, USA late 70s.Coming from the first batch of production, with the so-called TOMATO SOUP color, the CTS pots indicate 1978, and the serial code is around 5000(!!!!!!!!!). Not 30K 50K or 100K as you see in other specimens. The famous RETICON SAD1024A is from January 1979 and is immaculate as the RCA Chip above it.The condition of the outside is GOOD due to its age (scratches are present on the bottom side and the clearcoat above the red color is mostly gone) but the inside is PERFECT AS NEW. Besides the famous SAD1024A chip, we have ALL ORIGINAL COMPONENTS like the famous panasonic electrolytic capacitors, CTS pots etc. It is the second time I open it up and is immaculate on the inside. I didnt have to dust or clean anything.THE SOUND IS MORE 3D and SWOOSHY than you would expect. It has WARM, VINTAGE SOUND and it instantly takes you to the sound of the 70's, think of Pink Floyd etc when paired with Fender or other cleanish Amps. When distorted it has even more character. You would think of it as an old recording you are playing through in a magnificent way.As with all of these old pedals (EHX ELECTRIC MISTRESS, EHX MEMORY MAN etc), it is a little noisy and it is powered through the wall only. The socket was changed a long time ago and it is meant to be used in the EU-220/230V as far as I know (you can see something similar on the back). The same pedal as you know was used in famous recordings, HEART-BARRACUDA etc.NO BOX INCLUDED. OFFERS ARE WELCOME.FREE INSURED SHIPPING WORLDWIDE.Thank you.V.
