HalfLife features all the control of the Life Pedal without the octave footswitch, providing an impressive amount of tone design in its small package. The Octave control blends in the analog octave effect, while the Distortion control adjusts the character of the onboard saturation. The Filter knob lets you tame the thick frequencies created by the distortion, with a low pass filter featuring a response from around 500 Hz to 30kHz. Amplitude and Magnitude controls adjust the output level of the distortion and boost respectively, providing a wide range of tones at different combinations, which further expand in tonal possibilities when paired with your amp. Finally, the Clipping switch gives you a vast range of character options for the saturation, ranging from the full-on assault of no diode mode to the smooth crunch of asymmetrical clipping and time-tested symmetrical clipping options. For additional control, an expression pedal input is provided that allows for controlling the octave blend while you play.
