The Serge “QUADSLOPE GTS” combines two GTS (successor to the famous Dual Universal Slope Generator) – for a total of four Universal Slope Generators – with some extras (MIX and MAX output, additional 1V/Oct input for the two left slopes).
The GTS (formerly DSG or DUSG) is essentially an integrator or slew generator that alters the rate of change of a signal. While this sounds simple, it can serve a wide range of functions for both CV and audio, such as envelope and function generation, filtering / lowpass-gate behavior, as well as clock and trigger generation.
While the original slope generators were not primarily designed for audio use (and offered neither 1V/Oct inputs nor temperature compensation), the GTS can now be used as a sawtooth oscillator with excellent tracking (extending beyond > 2 kHz).
The QUADSLOPE GTS can therefore act as four independent oscillators, two complex oscillators, or any combination of oscillators and unconventional audio filters / lowpass gates.
These merchants probably sell this module. Huh?
