STUMM from Future Sound Systems and Mute is a six-channel bank of high-quality mutes that can be used with audio or CV signals, designed for use in performance. Each clickless switch can be latching when switched up and momentary when switched down. In the middle position, the channel is muted. Each channel can additionally be independent or assigned to one of two mute groups, A or B. These mute groups each have their own mute switch. Each channel is passed through a DC-coupled discrete VCA. The VCAs are controlled by an A/R generator that is triggered by the mute switch. The envelope time is very fast and is used to achieve clickless muting, providing seamless transitions even when performing rapid manual cuts.
