About the Unicorn Account

Description

This is the Synthesizers.com (Dotcom) Q106A Oscillator module in 5U format and the Q141 Oscillator Aid module. However, it's been reduced in size from 3 spaces to 2 spaces, using Jeremy Sharp's J247 kit. Price is $325 USD, not including shipping.

I got the Q106 a lot earlier (you can see the original inspection sticker from 2003), but did the conversion to the double space module with the Q141 Oscillator Aid module around 2016-2017. The module has been mounted in my system but barely used.

Excellent condition, little use. Accept PayPal (friends and family), VENMO or direct bank transfer. I have many references from Analogue Heaven, VEMIA, eBay (markshel), Roger Arrick, etc.

Can ship anywhere, lowest shipping prices by PirateShip. Located North Carolina, USA. Should be able to ship within US for $15-20. PM or email me with questions, interest or offers. No trades, I'm getting out of 5U.

From Jeremy Sharp's J247 Conversion Kit Description:
The J247 is a new panel for the synthesizers.com q106 VCO that incorporates the q141 "Oscillator Aid" module functions. All of these features are already present on the q106 pcb, but the new panel provides a usable layout to include all of those features in the original 2u module size. This panel saves you 1u of space over using the separate aid module. Assembly of new panel requires only a screwdriver, and a few sockets. No soldiering, plug and play, and the modification is completely reversible. Includes 1 panel, and 6 knobs. These knobs are identical to the original q106 knobs, but have a smaller diameter to free up enough space for the extra functions.

From Synthesizers.com description: The Q106A Oscillator combines the features of the popular Q106 oscillator along with the Q141 Aid module, all in a dual-wide panel. Additionally, the Q106A provides AC/DC switching of linear and exponential frequency inputs. If you already have a Q106 oscillator, use the conversion kit. The Q106A is compatible with the Q161 Oscillator Mixer.

The Q106 Oscillator is the foundation of any synthesizer providing the basic waveforms used to construct sounds. With a total range of .05hz to 20kHz+, the Q106 operates as a powerful audio oscillator and a full-featured LFO.
