Euclidean Bi-Clock Sequencer
The C 969 contains 4 Gate Sequencer Channels, each with up to 32 steps and is specially suited for the creation of Poly-Rhythms.
A special feature allows that the not filled positions are provided through a separate output (BI-CLOCK). The internal clock generator shows the speed in BPM and can be tuned between 120 - approx. 950 BPM. In the TAP mode, a second internal oscillator measures the resulting time between two input taps and calculates a BPM value. By using the BPM pot, this speed can then be doubled upto a value below 1000.
Each track can be defined by setting the number of Steps "S", and in the range of the steps the amount of Fills "F". Both have a range from 1 -32. Unpair settings such as 27 steps with 19 fills, result in unusual structures which are not common in Western rhythms.
Each track has 3 outputs, two Gate Outs and one Silence Gate Out. One of the two Gate Outs can be switched on/off. The Silence Gate Out delivers the non-filled steps - the "holes in the sequence”. Each channel can be independently controlled by external triggers, and each channels has an individual Reset-Input. Through a push button/jack, all channels can be resetted simultaneously.
Additional functions:
When one "S" or "F" tap is held for more than 2 seconds, its value is copied to all three others.
When "Reset" is held for more than 3 seconds, all settings are stored and available again when the module is switched on again.
