Up for sale is a Revive Audio Modified: DBX 530, 500 Series Equalizer module that sounds excellent!This is an excellent condition module, just modified here at Revive Audio. These EQs with the modifications will handily beat any 500 series eq we have heard on the market and are incredibly smooth and musical with great headroom and warmth when boosting. These are nice sounding modules out of the box but are fairly utility sounding modules and so are generally not a "Go to" for a lot of applications but with the modifications are great everywhere you use them.  Our goal on this one, as with most of our modification is to really squeeze the performance out of the design. The EQ sounds fairly harsh due to its use of 4560 opamps which don't have the best fidelity, headroom or noise floor and leave a lot of audio wanting.So what to do:On these preamps we do a Nice input stage modification using de-coupling and coupling techniques as well as High performance Burr Brown opamps thru-out the signal path for the best possible headroom and lowest noise floor possible.This includes all band amps and frequency amps Interstage coupling modifications are performed as well as output stage mods for optimum performance thru the entire signal path. The Equalization section is further modified in both the amplification stages as well as coupling stages to smooth out boosting and cutting for absolute clarity and musicality when shaping your audio. When its all said and done we have an EQ that sounds a lot more musical with the usual Revive Audio improvements in Headroom, lower noise floor, a lot better bandwidth. Cumulatively it sound excellent with a lot more Audio Mojo and overall musicality and moves this little humble preamp up to a level where professional studios will reach for it on any number of sources.
