MX-142 Op Amp Distortion
Made famous by Billy Corgan, and featured on the Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream album. The MXR Distortion II was manufactured from approximately 1978 to 1984. It was designed to emulate an overdriven amp pushing a 4x12 cabinet.
