Out of 60+ compressors, the Diamond Bass Comp is my #01. Honorable mentions go to The Fat General, Empress Bass Comp, and Lusithand Alma MkII. Only selling this particular Diamond because I finally picked up a used Diamond Bass Comp Jr. (3 knob) which sounds almost, almost, identical to the big box original. The original big box and comp jr. definitely sound better than the new 4 knob Diamonds (since the company was bought out). I've tried two different 4 knobbers, and the original 3 knob has more clarity and is quiter. These Diamond comps are the quiestest out of everything I've tried. Punchy, but clear, snappy, but dynamic. I promise, you will not find a more MUSICAL sounding compressor that does it all for bass than the Diamond Bass Comp.The Diamond Bass Comp Jr provides a high-quality optical compression as well as a simple yet efficient Tilt style EQ control featuring selectable center frequency (250Hz or 900Hz), increased frequency response and high headroom to fit various active or passive 4/5/6 string basses.
